First off, this will probably be most meaningful if I introduce myself. My name is Ashley White and I will soon be returning to UW-Stevens Point to embark on my final year of college. Prior to interning with Baer this summer I gained experience in public relations and social media through the non-profit sector. My major is Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Media Studies, really rolls off the tongue I know.
It truly has been a privilege to work with Baer Performance Marketing this summer. The opportunity has shaped my future in ways I would have never imagined upon starting in May. Prior to this internship I never really envisioned myself working in an agency setting. However, after this position and perhaps a few too many episodes of Man Men, I can’t see myself in any other atmosphere. The agency setting at Baer is really a team, where everyone works hard and bounces ideas off one another in order to best serve the client.
Aaron and Molly really let you dive right in and get the true intern experience. Well some of my classmates were getting coffee for their summer positions, I was able to work first hand with clients, sit in on pitches, create my own content, contribute ideas, and so much more. I appreciate them taking the time to actually go over things with me, so I could take away from each task. I think the best part is none of it felt like work cause I absolutely loved doing it.
I could gush about how amazing this learning experience has been all day, it reminds me how lucky I am to have had this internship. I can’t stress enough how much it has helped me plan for the future and find my passion. I would strongly encourage my friends and classmates to intern here because of everything I’ve been able to learn and do this summer. Thanks Baer!
