Social Media is More Important than Ever

There are countless numbers of social media websites and millions of networkers, but why is it so important for businesses to be active in online communities? Here are the top four reasons your business needs a social media presence:

It’s Where Your Target Audience is Hanging Out:
Social media is available for all demographics, and it is becoming increasingly popular for older generations. Social media gives businesses the opportunity to connect and interact with consumers of all ages.

It Will Strengthen Brand Awareness:
Studies show more than half of consumers with social media accounts recommend brands to friends and family through the social media sites. Additionally, through interactions with current and potential clients on social media, companies can also create increased brand awareness.

It Provides Free Competitive Research:
As stated above, almost everyone uses social media…that includes your competitors. By keeping a pulse on their social media pages, you will see the new services and products they’re offering, deals they are promoting, as well as any feedback they’re receiving from their Fans. This will provide insight into what your company can improve upon (in hopes the customers who are unsatisfied will seek out your brand instead).

It Creates Brand Advocates:
Through social media, a business can create a two-way conversation with consumers. In building genuine relationships with Fans, trust will be built, and they’ll be more likely to come to you to fill a need, answer a question, or solve a problem. A business active on social media can address or distance itself from any negativity, as well.
