Intern Spotlight: Anna Blair

Free Knowledge » BPM Jobs » Intern Spotlight: Anna Blair
anna blair, baer performance marketing's summer 2026 intern

BPM is thrilled to introduce Anna Blair as our 2026 summer marketing intern. Anna is a sophomore at St. Norbert College with a unique interest in content creation and digital marketing. She is currently pursuing a double major in marketing and accounting with a Spanish Certificate.

Anna has years of experience in marketing through student-led organizations and professional internships. She is the founder of St. Norbert DECA, where she leads a group of aspiring business leaders and creates marketing presentations for international competitions. One of her most notable projects within this organization was designing a monthly email newsletter that engaged members, alumni, and business partners of her high school chapter through captivating visuals and copy; through this initiative, she improved communication across the club and increased overall membership by 10%.

A three-year DECA international competitor in hospitality and marketing events, Anna placed as a 2025 finalist at Internationals for her Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling Project.

She also lends her digital marketing expertise to A Moment of Magic, an organization at St. Norbert that supports the mental health and emotional healing of medically vulnerable children through hospital visits and outreach to underprivileged communities. Through her engaging social media posts, Anna boosted views on the organization’s platforms by over 2,000, encouraging St. Norbert students to make a difference.

Outside of extracurriculars, Anna has worked in the St. Norbert Advancement Office as an alumni marketing intern for a year, where she has assisted with alumni event preparation and promotion and gained adaptability in the fast-paced world of marketing. One of her favorite events that she coordinates is an ongoing hygiene drive called “Knights Necessities” that raises items from alumni. By designing visuals, sending promotional emails, and writing thank-you letters to donors, she eases the financial insecurity of students struggling to meet basic hygiene needs. Her efforts have helped raise 450 items and $1,000 for the initiative.

She is looking forward to bringing her experience to the agency, while also hoping to expand her marketing knowledge by supporting multiple clients and learning a variety of marketing concepts. Keep reading to learn more about Anna’s hobbies, goals, and her interest in marketing.

Where did you grow up? What’s the most interesting thing about your hometown?

I grew up in Grand Chute, a suburb of Appleton. The most interesting thing about Appleton is that it was also the hometown of magician Harry Houdini. Incidentally, I attended Houdini Elementary School!

What is your major? Why did you choose to pursue it?

I am double-majoring in Marketing and Accounting at St. Norbert College. I chose these two majors since they build off of each other. Marketing represents the creative side of business, while accounting represents the analytical side. I hope to use the skills I have gained from my accounting courses to inform and enhance my marketing decisions.

What interests or excites you the most about marketing?

The aspect of marketing that excites me the most is seeing real results from campaigns through data and numbers. I am very interested in marketing analytics and how we can use that to refine future content.

Why did you choose to intern at BPM?

I chose to intern at BPM because I was excited about the opportunity to help real businesses achieve their goals while gaining hands-on experience in the world of marketing.

What skills are you hoping to master by the end of your internship?

I hope to polish my content creation skills and learn the ins and outs of digital marketing concepts like SEO and digital ads.

What is your current dream job?

My current dream job is to work in destination marketing for a hospitality and tourism company.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work or school? What are your favorite hobbies?

Outside of work or school, I enjoy running, golfing, and staying active. I love to travel with my family; some of my favorite destinations are Disney World, Hawaii, and Arizona.

Coffee, tea, or energy drinks – what powers your workday?

Unlike most college students, I don’t drink caffeine. All I need is a granola bar and water to power my workday.

What’s the one phone app you can’t live without – why?

One phone app I can’t live without is Instagram. It is where I get most of my information, news, and updates about the lives of my friends and family. Without it, I wouldn’t have any idea of what is going on in the world around me.

What is something interesting most people don’t know about you?

Something interesting that most people don’t know about me is that I played golf competitively and scored a hole-in-one at Thornberry Creek Golf Course.

What topic could you give an hour-long presentation on with little to no preparation?

I could easily give an hour-long presentation about Disney. I am what people call a “Disney Adult.” I have visited Disney World over 12 times and go on a Disney vacation multiple times a year. I actually make presentations and itineraries for my family to prepare for our trips!

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

My go-to karaoke song is “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys. It is the one song that can get me hyped for anything!

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

The best advice I was ever given was by my high school English teacher. She said, going into college, to take risks and pursue the goals you want to achieve, regardless of what other people tell you.
