BPM’s Charity Golf Outing Recap: Rain, Swag, and a Great Cause

Free Knowledge » Event & Sponsorship Marketing » BPM’s Charity Golf Outing Recap: Rain, Swag, and a Great Cause
Golfers at the first hole of our inaugural outing.

Well, we did it!

BPM’s inaugural charity golf outing is officially in the books—and for a first-year event, we couldn’t be prouder of how it came together.

Rain and all.

Mother Nature tested everyone’s commitment early with about an hour of steady downpour right out of the gate. But once that passed, the skies cleared, the course settled in, and the day turned into exactly what we hoped for: a fun, energetic, well-supported event built around a great cause.

Most importantly, the outing helped raise awareness—and greater support—for Guitars for Vets, an organization doing meaningful work for veterans through the healing power of music. That mission was the heartbeat of the day, and we were proud to bring people together in support of it.

A Little Rain Never Hurt a Good Cause

Let’s address the rain, because it certainly made an impression.

This wasn’t a light drizzle—it came down hard for a while. Thankfully, the decision to include rain ponchos in the swag bags proved to be a smart one.

And still, people showed up. Teed off. Laughed through it.

Ponchos came out.
Towels got used early.
And a few swings probably got blamed on wet grips.

But the energy never dipped.

That says a lot about the group we had on the course. Golf outings are easy when the weather is perfect—they’re more revealing when they’re not. Our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and team handled it like pros.

Once the rain cleared, everything hit its stride. For a first-year event—with so many moving pieces from check-in and signage to contests and sponsor setups—that kind of recovery matters. The event ran smoothly, the vibe stayed strong, and the course was full of people who understood why they were there.

Supporting Guitars for Vets

The beneficiary of this year’s outing was Guitars for Vets, and we couldn’t be more proud to support their mission.

The organization helps veterans experiencing PTSD and other service-related challenges by providing guitars, instruction, and a creative outlet for healing.

It’s a simple concept with powerful impact.

For many veterans, that outlet becomes more than music—it becomes a way to process, reconnect, and move forward.

That purpose gave the outing real meaning. Yes, we wanted a great golf experience. Yes, we wanted strong swag and sponsor visibility. But underneath it all was a bigger reason: using our platform to support veterans in a meaningful way.

That’s something we stand behind.

Hole Challenges With Personality

Guitar putting challenge

We’ve all been to outings where the contests feel a little… recycled.

We wanted more personality than that.

One of the highlights was the guitar putting challenge, where golfers attempted to sink a putt using a guitar. It was equal parts ridiculous and completely on-brand—and it helped raise additional funds for Guitars for Vets.

It wasn’t easy, but a few golfers managed to sink it.

Even better? It was fun to watch.

Because the best outings aren’t just about scorecards—they’re about moments people actually remember. A guitar putter will do that.

Swag That Actually Delivers

A swag bag packed with premium promo gear

This wouldn’t be a BPM event if the branded experience felt like an afterthought.

The swag bags were a major highlight—and the feedback confirmed it. Instead of a typical tote, golfers received a premium golf shoe bag packed with useful, high-quality items.

Inside: magnetic golf towels, Titleist Pro V1s Golf Balls, a branded divot tool, and more—everything thoughtfully selected for the setting.

That’s the difference between checking a box and building an experience.

Great promotional products should feel intentional, relevant, and cohesive. At a golf outing, gear matters—and people notice when it’s done right.

The swag reinforced the event brand while giving sponsors meaningful visibility in a way that felt natural, not forced.

Thank You to Our Sponsors

An event like this doesn’t happen without strong support.

A big thank you to Dvorak Wealth Management, our top sponsor, for helping set the tone for the entire outing.

We also want to recognize and thank the many businesses and organizations that helped bring this event to life:

North Valley Precision, First Call Restoration, Cherry Optical Lab, National Property Services, SKB Management, American Alloy, Wire Technologies, Inc., Current Electrical Services, RevIVe Wellness, JR Machine, Culvers’, Blue Sky Contractors, LLC, BMO Investment Services, The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce, First Tee and Reinhold Sign Service.

Each sponsor played a role in bringing the event to life—through swag contributions, hole sponsorships, and overall support.

Great sponsorship isn’t just about logos—it’s about being part of the experience. And our sponsors understood that.

A Strong First Year—with More Ahead

For a first-year golf outing, we’re calling this a win.

A rainy start gave way to a strong finish. The golfers stayed engaged. The contests brought energy. The swag landed. The sponsors showed up. And most importantly, the day supported a cause that deserves attention.

That’s a solid foundation.

Like any inaugural event, there’s plenty to build on—and we already have ideas. Bigger impact. Better activations. More ways to engage sponsors and raise funds.

That’s how this works.

Grateful for Everyone Who Showed Up

To everyone who golfed, sponsored, donated, volunteered, bought raffle tickets, jumped into the challenges, or helped behind the scenes—thank you.

This event was built by people saying yes.

Yes to supporting veterans.
Yes to showing up despite the rain.
Yes to being part of something new.
Yes to making it meaningful.

We don’t take that lightly.

This wasn’t just a day on the course—it was a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around a great cause.

While final numbers are still being finalized, the early response and support have already exceeded expectations. We’ll share total funds raised for Guitars for Vets soon.

And we’re already looking forward to year two.
